The shattered Mirror
Note: I tend to write in fanfic format more so than RPG format, but since noone else started an RPG here, I thought I would.
I’ll start off by listing the characters I’ll be using. Only one will appear for the first little while, unless I write a scene from another’s POV.
Captain J.G. Carter
Jeffrey Gabriel Carter is a human. Over two years or cycles ago he and his family got shot through a wormhole and ended up in a distant part of the galaxy. They were taken in by the Peacekeepers. The Peacekeepers aren’t peaceful. Carter and his daughter Ariana (wife was killed shortly after they arrived) fled the peacekeepers along with other renegades. They found an abandoned command carrier which they named ‘Liberty’, and have been looking for more allies ever since.
Ariana Carter: Daughter of J.G. Carter. She is the leader of his alpha prowler squadron. I’ll work an explanation of lots of this technobabble into the actual RPG somewhere, don’t worry.
Lia Crala: Commander and first officer to J.G. Carter. She is a Sebacean. Sebaceans look human. In fact, if Sebaceans were to come to earth, they’d be mistaken for humans.
Scorpius: Bad guy. End of story.
More characters will be revealed as needed.

Next post: the story begins.

Captain J.G. Carter flew his module, Freedom1, through the firestorm around him. He hated defending medical ships, but he knew it was important these supplies get where they were needed.
Two years ago, he never would have dreamed of engaging Peacekeeper Marauder Class vessels in his primitive little ship. However, his ship had been upgraded with hull armour and pulse cannons compliments of the Peacekeepers. At the moment, he was using said pulse cannons to blast several asteroids into dust. The dust cloud, he hoped, would blind the Peacekeepers long enough for him to get the medical ships safe.
“Ok you guys, punch it!” That was the last thing he said before sensor alarms in his cockpit started screaming at him. ‘What the hell?’ he thought as he attempted to figure out what was causing such alarm.
He saw it, just as it was bearing down on him, a wormhole…
He hoped it lead back to Earth. After all, it was a wormhole that had trapped him out here, wherever here was, in the first place. He held on for dear life as his craft flew through the wormhole. Unfortunately, as he flew, several of his module’s key systems went offline. He saw a planet, aimed for it, and hoped his module would survive the landing mostly intact.

He survived. Captain carter opened the hatch of his module and slowly climbed out. He was shocked at how much the land looked much like the landscape of earth. He apparently crashed in a forest of some kind. He jumped back in his module, scanned for the nearest signs of habitation, and programmed the coordinates into his portable scanner. He then retrieved a comm unit, his pulse pistols, and a zatnicketel. Although the pulse weaponry was sufficient, the zats gave him the ability to stun an opponent without risking death. Then, just in case the locals weren’t used to seeing spacecraft, he activated the stealth field. At least, he hoped it was sufficient to hide his module. He knew some species could see through such devices. Finally he sealed his module and headed for the little blip on his scanner.

OOC: Hope you don't mind if I hop in. IC: In a high branch in a tree near where the spacecraft had landed, a faint cry could be heard. This sound was more of a questioning call, as one raptor or any other non-predatory bird would cry out to another. A pair of fiery eyes glared at this new device. "What is this thing in my forest?" the creature thought to itself. In an instant, a pair of thick-feathered earth tone wings spread as a majestic falcon swooped down from her perch and flew around, examining the area of the ship. It had something grasped in its tallons, but the object suddenly fell and broke upon the ground in a moment of confusion. As the raptor saw the shards of the precious green stone scatter, she let out a cry of fear, hoping some form of life would be able to communicate with her and restore the stone to one normal composition. She landed near the gleaming green chips and ruffled her feathers as she shook her head.

As the captain moved in the direction on his screen, in the shadows he was being watched. "He is huminoid." The watcher said to it's self. "I must report to Head command." "Await further orders, continue to observe." Was the reply from head command. His tecnology seems primative. I can see his craft, his attempts to shield it from view are futal. "Head Command, send salvage units." "Acknowledged." The observer follows interestingly enough the creature does not walk on two legs but it walks on four.

OOC: I’ll use the little VVV thing, which is actually about 20 v’s, to indicate scene changes. There will be a couple in this section.
IC
Traneria, the artificial intelligence matrix aboard Freedom1, did exactly as she was programmed. After power down she waited 600 microts, or 10 minutes as her captain/programmer thought of it, and then powered up the sensors at minimum power. She noticed the creature and fragments of unknown material lying near the craft. She made detailed scans of both and promptly compiled this information into a report. She would run active and passive scans for the next 120 microts before signaling her captain.

Captain Carter continued his trek through the dense forest. If it weren’t for the constant lock he kept on his module plus the indicator that showed him where the village was he would have been lost by now. He thanked whatever deities lived in the great beyond for modern technology and then glanced at his comm as a report began scrolling across the small screen. ‘Right on time, Traneria’ he thought as he scanned the data. He noted the creature near his ship. What intrigued him wasn’t so much the fact that it looked very much like a creature from his homeland, but rather the fragments of stone that lay near her. At least, it appeared to be stone. He decided that the village could wait. He’d do this the old fashioned way; one mystery at a time. “Tran, initiate power down. Report at next pre-determined time.” “Confirmed.” Was the only reply before his comm went dead.
Carter began making his way back to his module when he swore he heard something. He stopped, drew his zatnicketel and looked around. He switched his scanner to scan for life signs, but nothing turned up there either. He put the zat away and resumed his trek toward his ship. He was sure he was being followed. That did not sit well with him.

The tawny bird of prey tilted her head to one side in a questioning look. She began willing herself to scratch the ground with her beak and tallons and make some crude attempt at writing. After a time, she had used rune symbols to spell out the word "Animagius" hoping this new presence could read runic spelling and knew what such a power was.

I figured that, since Tyr and I used to participate in many Rpg's, he'd find somewhere to introduce my character... I'll leave it up to him.

My character's name is Christine, and she is a blind seventeen-year-old from England. She recently moved to America, but was somehow captured by the PK's so that they could inquire about her telepathic abilities that she doesn't even know about.

She is a singer, and she longs to get back to a world which she has seen in some distant "vision", as she calls it. It is a world of Elves, Dwarfs, Fauns, Wizared, Witches, and many people with many potentcies of power.

I hope that's enough for you to work with, Tyr. I'm hoping you can fit her in somewhere... it'd be very interesting. Take care. IM me if you need more spacifics.

Bobbi

P.S. The name of this world is unknown... I'm thinking of calling it "Children's Planet" from one of my many strange and detailed dreams... Do what you can, and ask as many questions as possible.

Thanks all!
